MUNCIE — Isaiah Baumgartner got his first action of the season.
He earned a victory, but his team wasn’t as fortunate.
The South Adams High School wrestling team lost a dual meet to the Muncie Central Bearcats on Wednesday, 69-10.
Baumgartner, a senior who missed all of his football season and more than half of the wrestling season after ACL surgery in the spring, hit the mat for the first time on Wednesday. At 285 pounds, he earned a pin in 3 minutes, 52 seconds.
At 113 pounds, Michael Rupp defeated Cody Marrs by a major decision, 10-1.
Rupp andBaumgarter were the only two SAHS victories.

WOODBURN — The South Adams Middle School seventh andeighth grade boys basketball teams split with the Woodlan Warriors on Wednesday.
The eighth grade swim won 31-21 to move to 8-4 (5-1 Allen County Athletic Conference). The seventh graders dropped a 49-27 game, dipping to 5-7 (2-4 ACAC).
Trey Schoch and Aidan Wanner both had 10 points to lead the eighth graders. Kaleb Stevens was third on the team with five points and Parker Bryan had four points.
Kyle Minger led the seventh graders with seven points and Matt Steiner contributed six points. Brady Beall, Josh Amstutzand Gavin Myers each tallied four points.
