The Portland Rockets moved to 12-10 on the season Sunday by sweeping the Summit City Sluggers in a doubleheader at Portland Memorial Park’s Runkle-Miller Field.
Portland, which has won three straight, took the first game 8-4 on a walk off grand slam before a 15-5 game two win in six innings.
The Rockets never trailed in the first game and used a five-run second inning to take the lead in game two.
Summit City scored twice in the fourth inning and once in the sixth to tie the first game at 4-all.
In the bottom of the seventh, TJ Lindstrand drew a one-out walk and two batters later Cody Krumlauf walked on four straight pitches to put two on.
Zach Tanner was intentionally walked to load the bases, and Malave Bettinger put the next pitch over the fence for a walkoff grand slam.
Tanner led the Rockets at the plate, hitting a pair of two-run home runs and ending the day with six RBIs.
Krumlauf was 5-for-5 with five RBIs, including a two-run ground rule double to complete the run-rule victory in the second game.
