Nick Thwaits has done it again.
Thwaits, a Fort Recovery High School senior, repeated as Midwest Athletic Conference player of the year, the conference announced Tuesday.
Tribe coach Jerry Kaup, who guided the Indians to the first league title in program history, was named co-coach of the year. He shared the honor with St. Henry’s John Dorner, who received the accolade for the third time in the last five seasons.
Two other Indians earned all-conference recognition.
Thwaits, who has signed to play for Kent State University and has potential to be selected in June’s Major League Baseball draft, has started seven games this season for the Division III No. 7 Indians (17-4, 8-1 MAC). He boasts a 3-1 record, including a 2-0 mark in conference games.
