VERSAILLES, Ohio — The Indians were represented on the top of the podium in five events.
Robby LeFevre stood there for four of them.
LeFevre was first in two events and helped a pair of relays earn first place at the Midwest Athletic Conference Track and Field Championships on Friday at Versailles.
The Indians totaled 77 points to finish fourth. The host Tigers won with 153 points, with Marion Local (116.5) and Minster (111.5) placing second and third, respectively.
Minster’s girls, who were runners-up in Division III at the state meet last year, won the team title with 141.5 points. Versailles totaled 124 for second and New Bremen was third with 90 points. Fort Recovery finished seventh with 43.
LeFevre, a two-time state medalist in the 200-meter dash, won the same event Friday with a time of 22.21 seconds, a mere one-hundredth of a second away from tying the conference record. He was also first in the 100 dash in 11.11 seconds.
Riley Pearson, Jared Timmerman, Brayden Schoen and LeFevre won the 4x200 relay in 1 minute, 32.43 seconds. The same four finished eighth in the state a year ago.
Jacob Acheson, Pearson, Schoen and LeFevre teamed to take the crown in the 4x100 relay in 44.43 seconds.
Drew Muhlenkamp also had a MAC title in the 800 run with his time of 2:02.1.
Also scoring points for the Indians were Owen Moorman (fifth – 400 dash), Timmerman (third – long jump, seventh – 400) and Acheson (fourth – 300 hurdles, eighth – 110 hurdles).
Fort Recovery’s 4x400 relay team finished third.
Cassy Martin had the best finish out of the Tribe girls as she was third in the 400 dash. Chloe Will was fourth in both the 1,600 and 3,200 runs, and Kristen Keller was fourth and sixth respectively in shot put and discus.
Also finishing in the top eight to earn points for the FRHS girls were Ava Bubp (fifth – 800), Kierra Wendel (sixth – 400), Anna Wendel (eighth – 3,200) and Kiah Wendel (eighth – 100 dash).
The 4x800 relay was fourth, the 4x200 quartet finished sixth and the 4x400 relay finished seventh.
