Kiwanis and Inman U-Loc played to a 9-9 tie Tuesday in Portland Junior League’s Willie Mays division.
Nick Laux collected two triples, a pair of runs and four RBIs for Inman, which out-hit Kiwanis 8-5. Grant Wendel had two doubles, four runs and an RBI, as Drew Schemenaur chipped in a double, a single, a run and an RBI.
Lucas Strait and Xavien Maxwell tallied a single, a run and an RBI.
Gavin Young hit three singles and drove in five runs for Kiwanis, which also got a double and three runs from Silas Wenk, a single and a run from Austin Curtis, and two runs from Carter Barton.
Lions edge PG-14
Canyon Nichols hit a triple and Austin Jellison scored three times Tuesday, helping Lions to a 9-7 victory over PG-14 Willie Mays action.
Nichols added a single and scored twice, and Jellison chipped in a single. Wes Wenning contributed a pair of runs, while Isaac Scott and Trevor Jones had one run apiece.
Rhysin Blowers doubled, singled and scored twice for PG-14, which also got a single and two runs from Maddox Huffman. Landon Blowers tallied two singles and a run while Leighton Brown and Carson Busick had one run apiece.
Flamespray wins
Nick Snow went 3-for-3 and scored three times as Flamespray Machine Service defeated All-Circuit Electrical in the Rookie baseball division Tuesday of PJL.
Porter Clamme, Andrew Myers and Gavin Byrum were all 2-for-3 with two runs.
Jaxson Dehoff was 2-for-2 for All-Circuit in the defeat. Logan Wendel and Shawn Harrell singled and scored a run, and Brady Millspaugh also had a hit.
