A pair of Tribe volleyball players were among the best in the conference.
They recently earned the distinction of being some of the best in the state.
Fort Recovery High School seniors Madi Rammel and Cassidy Martin were both named second team Division IV All-Ohio by the Ohio High School Volleyball Coaches Association.
Martin, who will continue her volleyball career at University of Findlay, finished her senior campaign with 274 kills for the Indians, nearly 100 more than the next highest player on the team. She was also sixth in the Midwest Athletic Conference in kills. Martin added 81 blocks, which led the team and were fourth in the MAC, and tallied 37 aces.
She ended her career for Fort Recovery with 697 kills.
Rammel, who will play for Tiffin University next season, tallied 707 assists — fourth in the conference — with 88 kills and 19 aces. She also contributed 194 digs and 37 blocks.
The senior duo helped Fort Recovery to a 20-4 record, including a 7-2 mark in MAC play as it was the runner-up to St. Henry for its best MAC finish in more than a decade. The Indians were ranked as high as second in the state before having their season end in the district semifinal against defending state champion New Bremen.
