TinCaps fall to Dragons
DAYTON, Ohio — The pitching was there, but offense was absent as the Fort Wayne TinCaps lost 4-0 to the Dayton Dragons on Monday at Fifth Third Field.
Angel Acevedo allowed two unearned runs in the bottom of the first inning. He struck out a career-high seven and didn’t issue a walk while scattering four hits over six frames of work against the Dragons (Cincinnati Reds), who move to 4-7.
Grant Little doubled, pushing his hitting streak to eight games. Blake Hunt,Dwanya Williams-Sutton and Luis Almanzar each had hits for the TinCaps (7-5).
