HARROD, Ohio — Nearly 20 teams competed in the Allen East Invitational on Tuesday.
The Indians were in the top half.
Fort Recovery High School’s girls golf team took ninth in the Allen East Invitational at Colonial Golfers Club.
Lima Central Catholic won the team championship with its total of 316. Lexington’s A team was a distant runner-up with a score of 375, and Shawnee had 411 for third.
Fort Recovery, led by sophomore Jalyn Bruns, totaled 442 for eighth out of 19 teams.
The Anna Rockets edged the Indians on a fifth-golfer tiebreaker.
Bruns, who last week set the school record with an 87 for an 18-hole match, shot 94 as the Tribe’s top player.
Shelby Stammen was second with 110, two strokes ahead of Alli Vaughn.
Kendra Dues shot 126 to complete the FRHS team score.
Paige Bihn (135) and Trisha Gaerke (142) also competed for the Indians.
Mandi Ruminski of Lexington’s A squad was the individual champion as she shot 1-under-par 71.
