A combined effort from four players aided Barnett’s Auto Parts as it beat Pioneer Packaging, 15-5, on Monday in Rookie baseball action.
Kendall Glessner led Barnett’s with three hits and a team-high four RBIs, as Varen Ridgway collected three hits and three RBIs. Josh Brown and John Osborne each contributed three hits and an RBI. Kenton Cochran tallied two hits and knocked in a pair of runs.
Beck Hough, Irik Donathan and Brayden Scott all finished with two hits and an RBI, while Bentley Comer drove in a run for Pioneer.
Berne gets no-hitter
First Bank of Berne got a no-hitter on Monday in its 13-4 win against Jay County Therapeutics in their Minor softball contest.
Emily Young doubled and singled in the win for Berne. Alexis Sibray doubled and Olivia Gillum singled.
Although it didn’t register a hit, Jay County Therapeutics got single runs from Karyssa Denney, Kylie Shannon, Caylin Aker and Jaylynn Bragg.
