FORT RECOVERY — The Indians are back in the win column.
After having their chance at a three-game winning streak snapped with a loss Dec. 29 to Tri-Village, the Fort Recovery High School boys basketball team bounced back with a 57-26 thrashing of the Delphos Jefferson Wildcats on Tuesday at Fort Site Fieldhouse.
The win moves the Indians to 5-3 on the year ahead of a Saturday home tilt with the Lincolnview Lancers.
Fort Recovery opened a 15-10 lead at the end of the first quarter and held a 10-4 margin in the second to go into halftime on top, 25-14. The Tribe busted the game open in the second half, outscoring the Wildcats 32-12.
Brian Bihn scored 13 points, including six in the fourth quarter, to lead the Indians with 12 points. Cale Rammel and Dillan Evers both had 12 points, with Evers nailing a team-high three 3-pointers.
Owen Jutte contributed 11 points to give the Indians four players in double figures.
Trent Teman led Jefferson (1-4) with seven points, six of which came as 3-pointers in the third quarter. Andrew Miller and Seth Estle scored six points each for the Wildcats.
Fort Recovery’s junior varsity team also won, 42-28. Individual stats were not provided.
