Indian boys fall to Botkins
LeFevre leads Fort Recovery in loss
The Indians are still looking for their first win.
Fort Recovery High School’s boys golf team dropped to 0-2 on the season with a 157-182 loss to the Botkins Trojans on Thursday at Portland Golf Club.
Isaac LeFevre and Zander Kunkler led Fort Recovery with their scores of 40 and 41, respectively.
Cole Muhlenkamp shot 49 for the Tribe’s third-best team score, and Carson Siefring posted 52 to complete the Indians’ total.
Reece Evers (53) and Keegan Muhlenkamp (60) also competed, but they did not factor into the overall team score.
Jameson Meyer of Botkins was match medalist with his 3-over 38.
In junior varsity action, Fort Recovery topped Botkins 204-282.
Eli Lennartz (46), Alex Dues (47), Brennan Dues (55) and Matthew Romer (56) all scored for the Tribe. Drew Backs (59) and Sage Wendel (62) also played.
