The Patriot softball team won a share of the conference championship this season, the first in program history.
Seven starters were honored for their efforts in making history.
The Allen County Athletic Conference released its all-conference softball and baseball teams teams Tuesday, and the Jay County High School softball team was well represented.
Seniors Rieley Brewster and Aubrie Schwieterman were both first-team selections as infielders as they were a key part to the Patriots boasting a 17-8 overall record and 5-1 mark in league play.
Brewster led the team with a .541 batting average as well as posting team highs in hits (46), doubles (11), RBIs (41) and runs (40). Her whopping 12 home runs was a single-season school record.
Schwieterman, who will continue her softball career for Indiana Wesleyan University, batted .488 with 40 hits, including seven doubles, a team-high four triples and three home runs with 30 RBIs. She also drew a team-best 11 walks to only four strikeouts, and was a perfect 22-for-22 in stolen base attempts.
Haleigh Clayton was named to the second team as a pitcher. She was 11-5 in 121 1/3 innings and a 2.92 ERA. She recorded 76 strikeouts and 22 walks.
Haley Gilette, Mady Fraley and Janae Jacobs were all named second team outfielders, while Renna Schwieterman was on the second team as an infielder.
Blake Caldwell (infield) and Crosby Hensier (outfield) were both named first team All-ACAC baseball players.
Caldwell led the Patriots (13-11, 4-2 ACAC) with a .408 batting average, which included the first three home runs of his career. The future Wabash University Little Giant was third on the team in RBIs (17) and doubles (five) while also scoring 10 times.
Heniser batted .355, including a double, a triple and a home run. He finished with a team-high 19 RBIs and added 18 runs.
Austin Curts was named second team All-ACAC as a pitcher. In 44 2/3 innings he was 2-4 and converted his only save opportunity. He had an ERA of 2.04 with 63 strikeouts and 13 walks in 10 appearances.
