He got to sit the rest of the first half in a blowout.
Homan, a 2018 Fort Recovery High School graduate who had missed time with an ankle injury, scored three times for the University of Saint Francis football team in its 68-0 drubbing of Madonna University on Saturday at Bishop D’Arcy Stadium.
The senior kicked off the scoring for the Cougars (2-2), reaching the end zone from the 1-yard line just 3:38 into the contest. Two possessions later, he scored from the 25, which helped put USF on top, 21-0.
Just before halftime, Homan notched his career-high third TD of the game, crossing the goal line from the 1 again, this time with two seconds on the clock as the Cougars were ahead 49-0 at half.
Homan finished with 59 yards on nine carries. He has 180 yards on 31 carries with five touchdowns this year.
Ethan Theurer

Posted a career-high three sacks for the University of Saint Francis football team Saturday in its 68-0 victory against Madonna University.
In the first quarter, Theurer brought down Madonna quarterback Josh DePaulis for an 8-yard loss on a second-and-14 from the Madonna 36. In the second, Theurer tackled Assane Ka for a 2-yard loss.
With Madonna threatening in the second quarter, Theurer sacked Ka for a 13-yard loss on second-and-9 from the USF 24, which led to a punt two plays later.
Theurer has 10 tackles and four sacks this season.
Anhely Montes
Jay County – 2020
Tallied the first assist of her career Wednesday, helping the Anderson University women’s soccer team to a 6-0 victory over Defiance College.
Following a half during which the Ravens (5-5-2) were leading the Yellow Jackets 4-0, Montes offered a pass to Taylor Baker late in the match and Baker notched her first goal of the season in the 85th minute.
Montes, a sophomore forward, also had four shots, including her first two career shots on goal.
However, she was unable to find the back of the net.
Paige Fortkamp
Fort Recovery – 2021
Registered another 20-kill night for the University of Saint Francis volleyball team in a 32-30, 27-25, 25-22 win against Grace College on Oct. 6.
The freshman had a match-high 22 kills on 45 attacks (.333 hitting percentage).
No other player had more than 14 kills.
She also finished with six digs and assisted on a pair of blocks for the Cougars (5-18 ,3-9 Crossroads League).

Competed for the Tiffin University women’s cross country team Friday in the Royals Cross Country Challenge in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Will had a 5K time of 20 minutes, 13.8 seconds, to place 177th overall out of 304 runners, and she was fourth for the Dragons. Guggenbiller placed 269th in 23:07.7 seconds.
Tiffin placed 16th out of 29 teams.
