The Indians had once won four straight matches on two separate occasions.
They have now suffered back-to-back losses for the first time.
Fort Recovery High School’s girls golf team handed a 195-212 loss to the Minster Wildcats on Thursday at Portland Golf Club.
It is the second consecutive Midwest Athletic Conference setback for the Indians, who dip to 9-4 (3-2 MAC).
Senior Jalyn Bruns led the Tribe with her 2-over-par 37 in earning match medalist honors. She made birdie on the par-3 second and par-5 sixth holes. She settled for double bogey on the seventh and ninth holes, both par-4s.
Macy Brunswick was second for FRHS with her round of 55, while Paige Bihn, Shelby Acheson and Kim Hart all shot 60 to complete the team total.
Alaina Will also competed and ended with 61.
’Cats down Indians
MINSTER, Ohio — Minster had all six players shoot better than 50 while only one for Fort Recovery could say the same as the host Wildcats downed the Indians boys golf team 171-209 Thursday at Arrowhead Golf Club.
It marked the fourth straight loss for the Indians (2-8, 1-5 MAC).
Isaac LeFevre shot 45 to lead the Tribe, which also got 52 from Cole Muhlenkamp. Zander Kunkler (55) and Eli Lennarts (57) completed the Indians’ team score.
Keegan Muhlenkamp and Reece Evers shot 61 and 64 respectively, but they did not factor into the Tribe’s total.
Minster’s Mitchell Barnhorst shot 39 for match medalist.
Fort Recovery’s junior varsity team also lost, 191-225.
Alex Dues led the Indians with 53, while Sage Wendel was three strokes behind. Carson Siefring (57) and Gavin Faller (59) rounded out the team total.

ROCKFORD, Ohio — Fort Recovery’s volleyball team ended its four-match losing skid with a 24-26, 25-23, 27-25, 25-15 victory against the host Parkway Panthers on Thursday.
Whitley Rammel was a force at the net for the Indians (5-4, 2-0 Midwest Athletic Conference), tallying 27 kills. Teigen Fortkamp had 10 kills to go with her team-high six blocks, and Grace Guggenbiller finished with seven kills.
Faith Wendel recorded 29 assists, and Aubrey Knapke finished with 20 digs.
Junior varsity scores and stats were not provided.
