Riah Champ has been on fire.
That did not change Tuesday, when she hit a two-run, walk-off home run.
The Jay County High School softball team stayed undefeated, defeating the Eastbrook Panthers in six innings 21-11.
Champ sealed the deal with the walk-off home run. It was part of a day when she continued to mash at the plate, finishing 4-for-4 with four runs, four RBIs and two home runs.
Her efforts were part of an overall Patriot dominance that included an 11-run second inning. All but one of the inning’s 14 batters recorded a hit. The biggest came from Jaelynn Lykins, who smacked a two-RBI triple.
Six Patriots had multiple hits and all but two had two or more RBIs. Senior Brianna Zorn had her best game of the season with two doubles and four RBIs.
Mallory Winner earned her sixth win of the year, pitching 3 1/3 innings of relief. She gave up three earned runs on nine hits.
