FORT RECOVERY — A trio of sprinters led the boys to top-three sweeps in two events.
Mara Pearson kept her momentum with another jump longer than 18 feet.
The Fort Recovery High School track teams hosted Union City for senior night Thursday. The girls dominated with a score of 106-9, while the boys edged out their second victory 68-61.
The trio of Austin Steinbrunner, Reese Guggenbiller and Micheal Laux secured the top-three finishes for the boys 100-meter dash and 200 dash. Steinbrunner took first place in both events with times of 12.80 seconds and 25.56, respectively.

After Mara Pearson broke the school record in girls long jump Tuesday night — her new record of 19 feet, 1/2 inch surpassed her previous best of 17 feet, 8 1/4 inches — she followed it up with the second-best leap of her career. She jumped 18 feet, 1.75 inches. She also took first in the 100 dash with a time of 13.92.
