Letter to the editor
To the editor:
I’d like to thank the folks in Portland and Jay County for accepting visitors from far away on Monday, April 8.
Nobody there asked to be in the path of the total solar eclipse, but you handled it well. Our family did what we could to avoid putting a strain on your resources (in particular, we didn’t try to access the internet while we were there).
Hudson Family Park was a delightful venue, large enough for all the people and cars. It helped that the weather was perfect.
