To the editor:
Jay County had a busy weekend on Sept. 28 and 29 — a lot of things going on around the county; but the event we attended had a personal meaning for us.
The ninth annual What the Funk Wiffleball Tournament was held at Portland Memorial Park to benefit our family.
Prior to Chad Funk contacting us, I had never heard of this event. But, let me tell you, I know it now and plan to support this event in the future. What a fun, family event. I saw all ages playing wiffleball.
We want to thank everyone who played, stopped by for the silent auction, grabbed a bite to eat, donated, gave hugs and offered support. We appreciate you all so very much.
A big thank you to Chad Funk, Michelle Funk and Tanner Reynolds for organizing this tournament.
We had a day of fun, family, friends and laughter, and that is just what we needed.
