Dinner committee expresses its thanks

To the editor:

This community is absolutely amazing.

Once again, you stepped up for the Thanksgiving season with an unbelievable response to the community. Our local agencies, service clubs, lodges, businesses, sororities, churches all started calling early to donate kind-heartedly and help wherever needed. Your generosity is so appreciated.

When the event was over, we saw over 600 meals served to the homebound and to those dining inside. Thank you to all who came in to lend a hand putting this day together. It was refreshing watching families taking the leftovers to enjoy later, knowing their appetites would be satisfied for the next few days.

The success of this day is only possible because of the kindness of this community. We hope you will find a special blessing on your lives as you have blessed the lives of many.
