Band boosters say thank you

To the editor:

In this time of blessing and thanks, the Jay Patriot Band Boosters would like to extend a thank you to The Portland Foundation and the Jay School Corporation.

The Jay County High School Marching Patriots were awarded a grant to aid in the purchase of new music stands and carts. These new music stands replaced the ones that were several years old. The new music stands are a wonderful improvement for our students, and the carts allow ease in moving the stands where they are needed. 

We are grateful for this financial opportunity from the foundation and matching funds from the Jay School Corporation and extend our sincere thanks to all involved. 

We also want to take this opportunity to thank the many patrons of the football concession stand over the past few months. Without the revenue generated at the concession stand, we would not be able to provide this award-winning band program in our community. We hope to see many of you at the upcoming basketball games and help support this amazing music program.

We are blessed to live in a community that provides such great support both financially and otherwise and we thank you all.
