AS I SEE IT
Physical therapy has improved strength
We have all heard the phrase, “use it or lose it.” I’m beginning to understand the truth behind those simple words.
Start of summer holds special joy
Summer is almost here, it arrives on my daughter Beth’s birthday.
Husband’s vision is better than ever
Mom was right. As usual. She had told me long ago that cataract surgery was nothing to be afraid of.
Dandelion stood out among perfection
I have a serious case of garden envy. We attended a garden fair this weekend. As we passed bed after bed of carefully chosen flowers and assorted plants, I marveled at how well-kept the areas were. Every one had a different assortment of plants in bloom.
Keeping in touch with photos is quick, easy
I like pictures.
Visitors and stories made it a good week
Last week was a good week. It began with Mother’s Day. I couldn’t bring myself to visit the graveyard. I miss my mom so much and I simply couldn’t face knowing I can’t see her.

Family time was spent sorting photos
My brothers came for a visit on Sunday. The younger one, David, and his wife, Apryl, unloaded several totes full of pictures they had been storing since Mom died. My other brother, Michael, and his wife, Diane, joined in as we went through the boxes.
Day after is good for sales and planting
Today is one of my favorite days. It is the day that all the leftover Easter candy goes on sale.
Flower flats bring flood of memories
I made the mistake of pushing my cart through the newly-opened garden department of a nearby store. Most of it was bare but tucked into a corner were tiny blue and yellow flowers. I touched the soft petals and was instantly lost in a memory.
Chores change, but life continues on
In a few short days we will celebrate our wedding anniversary. A couple of weeks ago, when my husband had his heart attack, I wasn’t sure he would be here to celebrate with me.
Husband is healing after heart attack
“Get up! You have to take me to the hospital right now!” That was how I was awakened last Monday morning by my husband who was sitting crumpled up on the side of the bed.
