AS I SEE IT
Cup of tea was a reward
Sometimes a warm cup of tea hits the spot. After a busy week, followed by an even busier weekend, I was half frozen from being outside most of the day.
Acting debut proves entertaining
Kassity asked for more blood as she wiggled her fingers inside the hacked open body lying motionless on the gurney in front of her.
Anticipation may be the best part
“Looking forward to things is half the pleasure of them.” The quote is attributed to Lucy Maud Montgomery who wrote Anne of Green Gables. If I ever read the book it was so long ago that I don’t remember it.
Enjoyable day ended too soon
We went to a carving exhibition last Sunday. We had arranged to meet some old friends for an afternoon out.
Glow bug caused a scare
It’s Halloween! There are scary things everywhere.
Take the time to vote
After Tuesday, we won’t have to listen to political ads for awhile. I can’t say I will miss all the misinformation and attacks on character by both sides.

It’s almost Christmas. All the rushing around of the last few weeks will be over by the time we go to bed tomorrow night. Santa and his many elves will take a much-deserved rest until next year. We will be left with weird presents to return and memories that make …
Remembering window displays
I went on my first major shopping expedition of the season this past weekend. I got some really good deals, saw a few friends and enjoyed the piped in Christmas music. Even though the skies outside were a dull gray, it was a beautiful day.
Walk was Christmas highlight
“Don’t hit the brakes . . . don’t hit the brakes . . . don’t hit the brakes . . . just keep it straight,” I told myself as the car slipped sideways towards the people standing blissfully unaware by the side of the road.
Search turned into treasure hunt
It is amazing what one can find on the Internet. Our brother-in-law’s mother died and I was searching for the time and place of her funeral.
