BERNE — In a battle of teams trying get find some success before tournament time, the Blackford Bruins got the big performance in the final quarter. Mark Isenberg scored 10 of his game-high 14 points in a 19-point fourth quarter for Blackford as it edged the South Adams Starfires 53-49.

GASTON — The West Jay wrestling team improved its record to 4-1 Tuesday with a 42-33 victory over the Wes-Del Warriors.

Jay County tankers dominate Adams Central (02/15/05)

The Jay County Middle School Swim Teams dominated the Adams Central Jets Monday for a pair of victories. The boys team won all but one event for a 117-35 win, and the girls team finished on top 108-79.

PORTLAND — The Jay County middle school girls swimteam rolled to a 126-60 victory over Salamonie Wednesday. The boys team was on the opposite end, taking a 119-65 defeat.

Eagle grapplers improve to 6-1 (02/18/05)

The West Jay wrestlers had a good night Thursday, squeaking out another win 39-33 over Randolph Southern. The Eagle sixth grade boys basketball teams weren’t as successful, with the A team falling 31-21 to Southern Wells and the B team losing 12-0.
