FR car show set for Friday

Minnetrista to host garden fair Saturday

Minnetrista Museum and Gardens will host its Garden Fair from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 9, and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 10.

Cincinnatus seeks nominees

The organization honors those who have contributed to the Jay County community through volunteer efforts by inducting them into the Jay County Hall of Fame at the fairgrounds in Portland. This year’s ceremony is slated for July 2.

Auditions are next week

Jay County Civic Theatre will hold auditions for its September production of “Legally Blonde The Musical” from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, May 5, and Tuesday, May 6, at the Jay County Campus of Arts Place, 131 E. Walnut St., Portland.

Alumni banquet set for next month

Portland High School Alumni Association’s annual banquet is slated for June 21 at Wheel & Spoke Event Center in Portland. Social hour begins at 4 p.m., with the dinner to start at 5 p.m. Tickets are $20 per person and are available to Portland High School alumni and their guests.

It’s almost time for the band to spring into action. Jay County High School Band Department will perform its spring concert at 2 p.m. May 4 in the high school auditorium. The concert will feature performances from the jazz band, color guard and concert band.
