Indiana Wesleyan University LEAP Program will have a information session on Wednesday from 4 to 6:30 p.m. at Jay County Public Library.

Art exhibition scheduled (03/07/08)

"Winds of Change," a regional student art exhibition will begin Thursday at the Hugh N. Ronald Gallery at Arts Place in Portland. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 2 to 5 p.m.

JCHS academic team to compete at state (04/18/08)

The Jay County High School Academic Team competed Tuesday in the Indiana Academic Super Bowl Competition at Richmond High School in conjunction with 80 other schools competing throughout the state in Class 1 competition and more than 300 schools competing in four different classes.

Leather carver coming to fairgrounds (04/10/08)

The Mini 4-H Horse and Pony Club will present a leather workshop with world master leather carver Ava Gannon on Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon in the 4-H Building at the Jay County Fairgrounds.

Fort presenting play (04/22/08)

Fort Recovery Middle and High School will present the play "How To Tame The Wild, Wild West In A Dress" on Sunday, April 27, at 2 and 6 p.m. in the Elementary-Middle School Auditeria.

Benjamin J. Dues, a government and U.S. history teacher at Jay County High School, has written "Going to the Sources: The Jay School Corporation Is Formed."

Geneva tours scheduled monthly (05/13/08)

Guided tours of the Loblolly Marsh or one of the other restored wetlands in the Limberlost Territories in Geneva will be held the first Saturday of each month through October.

NHS initiates new members (05/09/08)

The National Honor Society at Jay County High School recently held its spring initiation for new members.

Blood drive scheduled (05/21/08)

The Hoosier Heartland Chapter of the American Red Cross will have a blood drive on Tuesday, May 27, from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Jay Community Center, 115 E. Water St. in Portland.
