A carnival and benefit motorcycle ride will be held Saturday at Hudson Family Park in Portland to benefit Swing of Faith.

Blood drives to be held in the county
In honor of World Blood Donor Day a blood drive will be held from 2 to 7 p.m. June 15 at Bryant Wesleyan Church. The church is located at 209 S. Hendricks St. in Bryant.
Jay schools to start serving free lunches
The Jay School Corporation will provide free snacks and lunches at area schools beginning June 8 and continuing through July 24.
Students awarded scholarships
Jay County High School graduating senior Kathryn “Katy” Smeltzer, Portland, received a Christian Leadership Scholarship from the University of the Cumberlands in Williamsburg, Kentucky, for the 2015-16 school year.
