Limberlost receives award
The Robert Cooper Audubon Society in Muncie recently honored winners of its 2014 conservation awards, which recognize individuals and organizations in East Central Indiana who have served the natural environment in notable ways.
Santa to visit Sunday at Muselman Pavilion
The movie “Miracle on 34th Street” will be shown at 2 p.m. Friday, for seniors 55 and older, at the Arthur and Gloria Muselman Wellness Pavilion. Hot chocolate will be served.
Holiday events begin to fill calendar
The Jay County Historical Museum will present Christmas at the Museum with open houses from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 29, Dec. 6, 13 and 20.
Students of Month named at West Jay
Students of the Month for November were recently named at West Jay Middle School in Dunkirk.
Old movies to be shown at Limberlost
Movies, based on books by Gene-Stratton-Porter, will be shown Saturday at the Limberlost State Historic Site Visitor Center in Geneva.
Donors total 100 at JCC blood drive
The American Red Cross Indiana-Ohio Blood Services Region held a blood drive Tuesday at Jay Community Center with 100 donors.
Pigeon program set for Sunday
Limberlost State Historic Site is hosting a “Free Passenger Pigeon program” at 2 to 3 p.m. on Sunday at the Limberlost State Historic Site Visitor Center, 200 E. 6th St., Geneva.
Craft show is Saturday
Xi Chapter of Delta Theta Tau is having its 30th annual “Holiday Arts and Crafts Show” at 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday at Jay County High School.
Library hosting activities for children

Arts place to offer classes
Arts Place in Portland is accepting registrations for art classes that will begin on Nov. 3 and continue through Dec. 19.
