Library to host book fair (5/21/04)

The Friends of the Jay County Public Library will hold a Scholastic Book Fair in the community room at the library on Thursday, May 27, and Friday, May 28, from 2 to 7 p.m. and Saturday, May 29, from 8 to 11 a.m.

These Jay County High School students were inducted into the Jay County Chapter of National Honor Society on May 21.

McClung art at Honeywell Center (5/27/04)

Local artist Steve McClung, Portland, will have an opening reception on Sunday, June 6, from 3 to 5 p.m. in the Clark Art Gallery at the Honeywell Center, 275 West Market Street, Wabash.

Amy Rauh, a 2000 graduate of Fort Recovery High School, recently received a bachelor of Mortuary Science from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science.

Pond clinic planned (6/29/04)

Purdue University and Jay County Extension will sponsor a pond clinic in the Jay County Public Library Community Room on Wednesday, July 7, from 7:30 to 9 p.m.

Fort FFA places well

The Fort Recovery FFA Chapter recently competed in state competition in Columbus, Ohio.

JCHS grads join Navy

Jay County High School graduates Brad Geesaman and Cory Hutzler recently joined the Navy. They will leave on Sept. 29 for basic training in Chicago.
