Tonight’s weather looks downright spooky, so some area communities are moving Halloween trick-or-treating to Friday.
While the Jay County Chamber of Commerce will still host a merchants’ trick-or-treat event today from 5 to 7 p.m. at Jay Community Center, the City of Portland has moved residential trick-or-treating to Friday from 6 to 8 p.m.
Dunkirk’s residential trick-or-treating has also been moved to Friday from 5 to 7:30 p.m.
Redkey’s residential trick-or-treat hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday. The annual costume contest will be at 5:30 p.m. in front of the new fire station. Line-up for the contest is set for 5:15 p.m.
Fort Recovery’s Halloween events were held Sunday.
