Village, school partner on grant
The village has secured multiple grants in the last few months. Word of another recently came from the governor’s office. Fort Recovery Village Council heard Monday the village and Fort Recovery Local Schools were awarded $439,589 for construction projects focused on safety for children walking or biking to school.

Where others might see trash, Kenzie Clayton sees a project. Clayton, who is finishing up her 10th year of 4-H, created the Jay County Fair’s grand champion recycling project for the third time in four years with a bird feeder made from household items that might otherwise be discarded.
Dunkirk trash rates will go up in August
Trash collection rates are going up. Dunkirk City Council on Monday approved increasing trash pick-up rates to $15 per month beginning Aug. 1.
